Jim A. Barker is an experienced photographer and videographer of events, weddings, people and brans, based in Australia’s picturesque bush capital. Known for his exceptional ability to connect with people, Jim’s photographs uniquely capture the individuality of his subjects in the moments and places that mean the most to them.

Jim’s extensive and varied portfolio hosts a range of commercial clients from Lifeline Australia, Amazon Australia, Energy Renaissance, Sonnen and Unyoked. With a professional history as a publicist for clients like Xbox, Telstra, SEGA, Google and more, Jim brings an accomplished skillset as both an effective communicator and strategic planner when it comes to working on projects large or small.

Jim is an active advocate for arts in regional Australia. Since 2022 he has dedicated impressive amounts of time to creating and exhibiting an extensive photographic collection of 75 artisans from across the New England Region, which was also turned into a hardcover coffee table book.

Jim brings a unique and personal approach to wedding and event photography, commercial projects, and photojournalism, ensuring that each moment captured reflects the beating heart of the event.
